This last pic is in the same canyon as the pic above, but about 7 miles away, this pic is taken about 200 yards from camp. It was takenthe last week of September. Crap now I want to go elk hunting realy bad!

Here's mine. Just to be different most of my Elk hunting is done in sagebrush! Yup, don't need no stinkin' high mountain littered with Aspen's and Pine! ;-)
Just for the record Washington is spike-only unless you get drawn for a special permit so getting a spike is less than 10% of the hunters here per year. Took me 8 years to get this sucker! Don't have pics of my 2nd in the field the following year.

Now thats some pretty good looking back yard now thats my kind of hunting,I thought mine was nice with the Mountains 20 miles away.
What are you doing in November maybe I might come over,what ya think.

I've come to learn that in Montana 20 miles away is considered one's backyard. Sorta of like a hill that is "a bit of a pull" will suck your lungs out your nose. Or in distance: "Just a ways over there" Is to hell and back over three mountains and across three rivers.

I see you've been to Montana then Shato.
I do consider 20 miles toNat'l forestmy back yard, I just don't have a Forest Sevice Sign in it.I'm jelous.
I bet most of you don't drive 80 miles to get groceries either,thank god I can buy beer and copenhagen local.
