I hunted just off the reservation near Archeleta (spelling is wrong) in January of 2004. I had a cow tag and enjoyed a target rich enviroment. I saw many great bulls and literally dozens of cows. They were migration elk but the area holds some great animals. There is little, if any, public land around there and all access is contolled.
