Went out last evening. saw only one doe and my partner only saw5 does and a spike we have been seeing regularly,two ofthe six were piebalds. Deer seemed to have relocated out of the immediate area but we will find them. This is tough hunting this time of year. We have found a few rubs all ready and even found a few scrapes, one which is opened every year.

Sorry I wasn't around last evening Coop.....my shop owner's father passed away and I spent most of the evening at the funeral home. From there, I went to my oldest daughter's basketball game. I got home around 9 and chilled with a bud lite lime or 2....

I did get an exciting phone call however. My buddy called and invited me to hunt this weekend on a highly managed property in northern Missouri. This place has 130-140 class deer all over the place....I'm very excited about this one.....It could be good. No such thing as a sure thing, but.......I should have a good shot at it this weekend. I won't be on here at all as I am leaving Friday evening and returning Monday afternoon. Coop, I'll keep you posted via text.....Say a prayer and shout outa good luck...One thing's for certain......We're gonna have a really good time if nothing else....

Mobow - You're taking a chance getting that close to Iowa, you'll feel a sudden urge to bathe, change your underwear, brush your teeth, and put shoes on. Don't be too concerned, it's just something we do up here daily. Good Luck Brother. I'll be in a stand tomorrow AM. Found out last night that the property across the road was purchased by the Amish and now they are wanting to buy up the properties around them. I told their rep that for a measily $500K they could purchase my place. It won't be long before we'll have to be watching for horse and buggies on the roads. I've heard some other stories that I hope are not true.
