RE: Official team 19 hang out...
Well if it was me I would at least get another one here so that IF it falls apart I could get it set back up. Once you get it you should be able to switch it out pretty quickly if that is all you are switching. Doing all the cables and such would take more time. Do you do your own work? If so that is helpful and you could start it on a Sunday night when you get home from the weekend hunt and have it ready to go by the next weekend.

My replacement showed up so that is a plus but they still don't have me on a plane!!! Season starts back home in 3 days so I am about ready to get there myself. for all of you that are going to be out on opening day good luck and may your sights be true and your arrows fly straight!!!!

Shop can't can't get my Allegiance right so they are sending it back to Bowtech. This has gone on for practically a month now, Very unhappy with Bowtech's customer service.Shop owner is setting up his 08 Allegiance for me to use till I get it back. Bowtech gives so much mis-information, shop gets different answers every time he calls them. Here I have missed the first 2 weeks of De seasonand with Md set to open on Mon I won't have my own bow. The whole situation sucks[:'(]

You know I always associated deer hunting with cooler weather, but last year it was hot even during the rut. I hope it cools off a little before the rut gets here!

RE: Official team 19 hang out...
I am all ready for the season to open in 18 days. Bow is sighted in, I have my new Shuttle T-Locks, I have my knives sharpened, I have the pole barn set up to hang as many deer as needed and I built a table that hangs against the pole barn when not needed and when I am ready to butcher, it lowers to the floor with pulleys. Ike is past and I am itching to draw my bow back on a buck!

RE: Official team 19 hang out...
Well after the remnants of Hurricane Ike moved through yesterday morning, bringing us another 6" of rain......I went out in the afternoon and cleaned off a couple trees for my climber. I'm particularly excited about one of them. I'll have the opportunity to kill one out of that tree I believe. It's a brushy area between 2 corn fields, and a couple weeks ago I glassed a 150 class 10 pointer there. With a west - north wind, it's failproof. The deer will never know I'm there. This spot will be even better when the corn is harvested.
Season opens today, but I won't be going out until Friday.
Rickmur, glad you got your bow problems solved, those are extremely frustrating. Good luck to all who hit the woods this week.

Hey guys. First Rick I too am glad to hear you got your bow back. With all the bad I have heard about BowTech I am glad I didn't get one this year. I was on the fence about it but stayed with the Hoyt. Yes I know all bows can have problems but I have heard way too much bad this year on here, AT, the club I go to and from Matt down in FL. Nothing good has come of them selling out to savage.
So I had a VERY rainy weekend. But none the less I did drop a deer. It was small but so be it. I have earned my buck tag for next year now. Our tags carry over if you don't fill them. I have 3 from last year for this yearand now one for next. I have always said I won't shoot over 35 yards at a deer. Most of that was because I can't judge yardage very well at that range. Wellthis year I got a new Leupold RX-II. That thing is GREAT. Anyway I have ONE spot where I could shoot out to about 50 yards with nothing in the way. Well this small doecomes outin there and Ihit it with therange finder. 38 yards ever soslightly towards me. I decided knowing the exact distance and thatI practice out to 60 I put the 40 yard pin on her andlet it go. Thru the shoulder and into the spine. Dropped on the spot. That Grim Reaper left a NASTY hole on the way in. I feel better than Iever have with my shooting. I have to say the practice and all the knowledge I have picked up here and on ArcheryTalk has really paid off. I have my bow tuned better than Ihave ever had a bow shooting and feel great about it.
