Default Shot my first 3D this year...

Well I shot my first 3D shoot after nearly a year's layoff.

It went pretty well, didn't shoot lights out but was close.

The course was 40 yards max with most shots in the 25-35 yard range with 3 or 4 around the 40 yard mark. I shot 315/330.

I was rusty with picking out the 11 rings... Once I am back on my game I should be doing fairly well. Looking forward to my shoot on Sunday Up in Cleveland.

I went to one this morning out by where I live and shot against two other guys , one was using a recurve and the other guy is a pro I.B.O. shooter.
Gotta tell you guys I was out matched in this round although I shoot pretty good , I couldn't hold a candle to the I.B.O. man even the recurve guy out shot me.
The last time I shot that range with a friend of mine I did a 286 out of 300 , today I did a lousy 234 the recurve guy had a 279 and the pro had a purfect score , can you figure.

A dismal 402 14X...... I was all around the X's all day, I just couldn't catch a break. I only had4 X's on the first 20 targets [] I had 2 deflectionsoff my buddies arrow onthe 5 yard beaver and a 25 yard gobbling turkey knocking me into the 8 on both. I also dropped 3 easy 8's on two deer and a standing bear. I can't recall what I hit the other 8 on.

The lighting and shoot was not that bad people just like to complain.... It's the same thing out of everyone every year. I say if they don't like it, don't shoot it In fact my pins were way to bright for the shoot with my hunting sight thatI was forced to use because of a certain manufactures delays. My pins were all "haloing" real bad. I ended up finding a piece of tape around the 22nd target and covering the fiber wrap up, that took care of the halo effect for the most part.

I would say yes, you did miss out... I have a blast there every year [8D]
