LOOKS GOOD TO ME HUCK,

FINALLY MY NAME WAS SWITCHED!!!!!!
HOPE THIS DOESN'T CAUSE TO MUCH OF AHEAD ACHE FOR EVERYONE

DOES THIS CONTEST GO BY INCHES OF HORNES OR NUMBER OF BUCKS ON THE TEAM AND THEN IF THERE IS A TIE IT GOES BY INCHES.

REASON I ASK THAT SOME FRIENDS OF MINE AND I R IN A BUCK POOL(JUST BETWEEN THE 4 OF US)THE SMALLEST BUCK PAYS FOR DINNER AND IF IT UNDER 18 INCHES (SPREAD)WHOEVER OWES $10 TO THE OTHER THREE.
IF NEED BE I WOULD SACARFICE THETHIRTY BUCKS!!!!!!!!!![8D][8D]

Hey guys, Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mathews PA the best answer I can give you is theteam that wins the contest will have the most total inches. It really doesn't matter how many bucks are killed. For example: If a team kills 3 200" bucks for a total of 600 inches and a team killed 10 bucks 50" bucks for 500 inches the team that killed 3 deer would win. Most importantly, go read the official rules thread. I can't stress this enough!!!!! A few teams didn't get points for their kills last year because a member of their team didn't follow the directions while posting thier deer on the scorecard thread. Here's the link: http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2206816

Have a good day and I will talk to you folks later.

Just checking in guys,
I got a little more practice in on the weekend, no problems keeping them on a paper plate out to 35yrds, but I'm thinking I need some better equipment to consistantly get the groups I see some guys on this site getting. This weekend I'll get to the farm come heck or high water to shoot from my stands and determine distances to trails and markers, that way I can stay away from them for a few weeks before the opener.

I'm really liking the fact that this is the 1st team that I've been on where everyone showed up and we didn't need alternates, seasons aren't even open and we have good participation, thats great.

Who has the earliest opener, I have to wait till Oct. 1, anyone getting out there in September?

My season opens this coming Saturday (Aug. 25th), but I will not participate until Sunday. I'm off to Florida this Friday for two nights of gator hunting. I'm stepping off the plane on Sunday and heading straight to the mountains. I'll get an afternoon hunt in for sure.

You're a lucky dog on both counts!
I assume the gator hunt is with your bow, but what do you mean about the mountains? My US geography is pretty poor, but aren't the wet areas in the lowlands? I'm gonna hop over and check out Florida on Google Earth.

Edit: Yah, my US geography sucks, I didn't even realize you were joking

Trevor,

Sorry about the confusing post. Yeah, I will be hunting gators with my bow. I leave from Denver on Friday @ 11:00 am. I arrive in Orlando, Florida just after 4:00pm. My friend and I will head straight to the outfitter's boat dock and begin hunting. It's two nights of gator hunting. If we're successful on the first night, we'll spend the second night hunting feral hogs. I depart Florida early Sunday morning. With the time change, I'll be back into Denver @8:30 am. That gives me plenty of time to swing by the house and pick upmy bow setup for broadheads (the one set up for gators will not work on big game-the arrows are honking huge, like 1000+ grains each). From there, I'm off to the mountains to chase mule deer. September is going to be an exciting month for me. I have the deer tag, a bear tag, an antelope tag, an elk tag and a Mt. Goat tag. Between work and hunting, nobody will see me! I'll post in the middle of the night when I can.

I've revised the avatar so it's more legible. I didn't like the fact you couldn't read it before:

Huck, I envy you!!! You are a lucky man. Good luck and enjoy your time being outdoors doing what we love to do. Be sure to keep us updated with plenty of pictures. Opening day here isn't until Oct. 1, so I've got exactly 40 more days.
