I just got back from a 3 day weekend with HNIJustin in search of videoing our hunts. Friday night Justin wacked a doe perfectly and I got it all on film. Saturday night I was up and wacked a doe as well all on film. Could've taken a 2.5 yr. old 10 minutes later. But he was borderline for me and I elected to pass. Below are the pics of my saturday doe and justin and i with our first ever video kill (his doe).

Congrats on the doe and finally grabbing that buck tag, Duke. I wish PA would go to earn-a-buck, but it will never happen here. These people almost had riots and witch hunts when we implemented a 3-on-a-side antler law. LMAO

Thanks team.. I forgot to specify that I was hunting my home state of Illinois. Illinois is not an earn-a-buck state.

Well I’m getting pumped – I’m starting my hunting ‘marathon’ tomorrow… I should be able to hunt nearly every day (at least for a morning or evening hunt) for the next couple of weeks. The corn is finally starting to come out – things are looking up… I’ll try and keep everyone posted.

Quick - I was the only one to score on the elk trip. There was another guy in the group that had a bull at 45 yards but couldn't get a shot in the timber after he got busted by a cow...

Didn’t see anything tonight, but I did pull the memory card in my trail camera that’s sitting over one of my mock scrapes. After blowing up the pictures I’m almost positive that they are pics of 3 separate deer…. I’d be happy with any of !them

I'm off after work today and the weather looks purfect to shoot a big buck. I will be out until Monday night. The 29th is the 1 year anniversary
of my 10 point. So I must hunt that day.
