Big bucks can be different critters to hunt. They normally will not travel very far this time of year from bedding to feed.So be careful with leaving any scent. It won't take much to put him and his friends on alert.Good luck

I'm putting up 2 stands tomorrow. The acorns are falling already , but some are rotten inside.
I'll tell you guys , if it's been a dry year the best stand locations for acorn production will be North or North East facing slopes. They stay wetter and out of the sun so look there if it's spotty where you are.

I'll put up some pics' , I hope.

The pin is where I seen the deer. I believe the bedded area is to the North of the pin not quite sure. But the deer came out at the pin and headed to the left (West)

Are the dark areas high stops or low spots. I'm guessing slopes.
If the lighter areas are ridge tops that's a classic finger/ridge line.
Is the wind out of the West or North?
Either way that point is the place to be. Check for side hill trials on the down wind side. That's where the bucks will be scent checking the does from.
There should also 2 side hill trials crossing on the West hill side below the lip of the point.
That's where I'd be waiting for a buck on either trail.
Looks DYNAMITE.

Dark areas are the trees. When I seen them one night they crossed up from further towards the NW and walked the ridgetop. Never did see them last night so might have followed to the point. I haven't really walked around much in the area but know there is a little ridge trail so thinking on setting up the camera. I do have a couple cameras to the south in a few draws coming up toward the south corn field. So will check them tomorrow then snoop around a little for a ridge trail.
Wind is generally from the NW.
