I hunt out of tree stands. I see deer. It has always been just a matter of getting a shot. The are usually just too far out of range or they would spook before i could geta shot.

Last year i did rattle in a little forker a couple of times. My bro missed him once, and i shot and hit him....but it hit a branch and stuck the back hip. I saw the buck a few days latter chases some does, no arrow and no limp......he will be back.....

I also had once close encounter on a doe with an arrow stickin from its back...Figured that would be a good one too take to fill the doe tag. Well i shot and it was headed right for the vitals, 15 yards........whack.....and the deer runs. Get down expecting to find blood. All i got was half an arrow. My arrow literally broke the arrow off the deer leaving no wound from my shot.....and i thought that was it.

But other wise its not seein deer it just havin it all come together that i need, and well my hopes are super high this year. I already have my buck earned so i can take a couple of bucks if i get the chance.

Good luck

Cool pic Hotburn. Last year early season, I saw a doe, did not get a shot off, trees/branches blocking the shot. A few minutes later, I heard 2 fawns calling mom and saw them moving not far from me. Mom went quickly into where they were. Then I heard hem nursing and it was so loud, I thought no wonder coyotes get their share of fawns!!!! With that, the doe was safe as far as I was concerned. I just didn't have the heart to take her down.

Wow, not far away at all!! I'm very near Wanaki golf course. I'm an RN at Waukesha Hosp. I hunt Buffalo Co and will be in Ohio and Illinois as wel this fall. I also like to fish alot, cook and photography. I shoot a new Parker Challenger (got it end of March) and pull 47#. If I say so myself, I'm a pretty decent shot out to 35 yards. I'm hoping this fall is my year, I've had health problems the last 3 fall/winters that effected my seasons, but, that problem should be taken care of, had surgery before Christmas last year and should not have that problem again (diverticulitis).
Guess this was more than you asked, but I don't think I have given much info on myself and it helps if we know our team members a bit.

Checking in again guys. Come up with a team name, and I'll make us a logo (avatar). I made my current one for the Turkey Contest as well as our team's logo for last year's Bow Contest. How about everone post what they're shooting this year?

Ross Cr334 29" @ 60lbs
Easton ACC 3-49 / 2" Blazers
100gr Slick Tricks

Also, a little more about me, I'm 22, just graduated from Millersville University with a B.A. in Technology Education. I was just hired about a week and a half ago at a local high school teaching desktop publishing, so I'm pretty pumped about that.

Congrats on the new job Matt. I'm shooting a Bowtech Guardian, 70lbs, Carbon Exp Maxima arrows tipped with G5 Strikers.

As far as the name, Georgia had recommended a few, Rick came up with Horn Stars and I came up with Rack-a-maniacs.So, what's itgoing to be team. I'll vote for Rack-a-maniacs.
