I am still getting out there.

The area i hunt has been tough to get to. I left it alone for a bit becasue the farmer was out there and got his truck stuck and we were out there till late pulling the truck out and making all kinds of racket.

The area i am hunting is open until Jan. 31 as it is a metro unit in SE wi.

There are trails all over where my stand is and the river is not frozen over so the deer are choosing not to cross and are running right under my stand.
I have been seeing does, and button bucks, but with 3 deer in the freezer this year already from me and my bro.....I am going for horns. Besides we need the points.

Will keep you updated.
P.s. Also found out that for christmas my grandpa has put in an offer on the 40 behind ours. The contract also states that within the next two years we have to buy the connected 40. So that means i would have a new 80 ontop of the 40 we have up there!!!! what a great christmas present.

I am looking to get him a crossbow, you guys have any suggestions on a cheap one, that works. I have heard good things about those cheapys on ebay from some guys i know. They are the recurve crossbow rated at 150 lbs.
But if anyone knows of a deal, let me know
thanks

Hey guys and gal...

It's been a while since I checked in. Hope everyone is well. I'm still out filling the freezer as well, although I still have a buck tag, the extra buck I was after with the flyer off his main beam is all busted up and missing half his rack, so I'm probably pocketing that tag this year.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. Kel

Hey Kelly/Ky, are there any WMAs in Ky worth the drive from Ga? My hunting buddies and I really want to try another state (known for big bucks), but dont want to waste alot of money and time.
