Double Creek,
Sounds like a good time. I know it's supposed to be a good state for big bucks. Is that public or private land in IL?
November 11th is opening day of gun season in Missouri, and every year we have our family hunt in Carter County. Depending on how I'm doing, I may bow hunt then instead of gun hunting. That'll be a challenge. It's on public land, and it's always crowded. I've got a sweet spot that I hunt there. It's ALWAYS a sweet spot.

Sorry I haven't checked in in a few days but I was off 16 hours all week end (Fri-Sun) and I used that time checking my eyelids for leaks.
I am working all this time for swaps during the hunting season I am trying to get enough folks so I will have the whole bow season and gun season off. I don't know if I'm going to make it I need 7 more swaps. I'll just get a day when I can for muzzle loader. But my regular hours are 3PM- 11PM so I hunt every morning. I think I have already cast my vote on avaitors but just in case I like the one I have.

Hay LIL Chief are they going to pipe you over the sidfe or are you on shore duty? I was on shore duty so I wouldn't let them have a cerimony for me just give me my stuff and see ya. We did have an informal breakfast and a few beers at the EM club on Cinclant in Norfolk. But nothing fancy.

WOW great bucks all you guys! I have taken a few smaller does, but nothing real big and no bucks (All with the gun). My first year out with the bow was last year and I wasn't able to get a shot at any deer. This year I have the chance to hunt a lot more spots, so hopefully I'll be able to connect with something.

Mike,
I'm on shore duty, and I plan to do the same thing you did. I don't want to go through all of the pain of an official retirement ceremony. I just want to fade away quietly. If all goes as planned, I won't be moving anyway. I'll just be putting on civilian clothes and kicking off a new job doing the same thing. I know... depressing, but it'll pay good.

Hi team ... sorry about not being online but I've been helping a friend getting his range ready for opening.
Mike ... thats a pretty impressive buck you got last year , alot of mass on that big boy.
Although I don't have any pictures of the only buck I took a few years ago , I have high hopes on taking a nice tall tine basket shaped eight pointer thats been roming around my hunting area.
Well thats about it for now , I'll try to check in more offten you all take care and I'll talk to you later.
