RE: 31-Team Drop Tine Bombers
Well I'm back and see that noone has scored from our team yet.
Iguess I'm partly to blame.
I finally saw my first west Texas deer last week and wouldn't you know it was directly after sticking a pig. She busted me scrounging around in my ground blind getting ready to go look for my meat before it got too dark. I look over in my other shooting lane and she is staring me down hard. it didn't go too well after that.
I did take 2 more pigs. One decent sized sow (~65#)and another smaller boar (40-50#)- put a perfect heart shot on that dude.
Man the stinking fleas on these pigs were like ticks, once they bite they dig in -YUK. One more reason to hate the durn things.
This weekend it's 2 days in East Texas.
My next west Texas hunt is in Mid December and we had better see some dang deer or we'll be back in the market for a new lease. (Lease shopping is a major PIA and not fun at ALL!)

We've almost slipped off the page (if that's possible).
My East Texas hunt was un eventful. Perfect set-up over a fresh worked scrape, just uneventful.
Anyone else seeing anything?

Hey guys, hope every thing is going well. I still haven't stuck a buck, but several does. The last couple of weeks have been productive but not with deer. We did a depradation pig hunt at my buddy's last weekend and killed 12 pigs one day. Here are a couple of them.

Well fellas, I finally killed a buck... but it was with a shotgun. [:@]
This past Saturday I hooked up with my buddies for a bit of a hunting party.
Sunrise saw one of our guys put a button buck on the ground, then shortly later his brother gut shot a doe that we tracked for about 2 miles (it seemed at least) in a big circle through two swamps.
I put an end to the tracking job that lasted most of the morning They nudged her out of a swamp right towards me as I stood up on the BFR (Big Freakin Rock) where I expected her to show up. A 75 yard shot with a Winchester BRI slug to the shoulder put her right down.
Then later in the day we headed out to another piece. About 2:00 my buddy Bob jumped a buck and he warned us over the radio. Out of the sun he came galloping so I had to wait till I could see through my scope. My first shot missed him (I'm quite sure) but slowed him down and I settled down and waited for an opening. My second shot hit him right in the liver / diaphragm. My other buddy Tom finished him off for me with a couple more shots.
My buck is an 8 pointer that might come close to 115 or 120. My best to date, but not an archery kill I have the rest of the month and I should make it out a few mornings each week at least, with my bow if it's before work most likely.
Update: Didn't have my digicam with me in the woods on Saturday, but here's one I took this morning before going to check him in:
