RE: 31-Team Drop Tine Bombers
I am so sorry to let you guys down I spent all day looking and looking I did circles for over a mile he just wasen't there. I found my arrow it was a pass through there was still some blood and hair on it but the rain washed off most of it and washed away any sign that there might have been. I really though it was a good hit thats why I didn't think I would have any trouble finding him today but I just guess it wasen't ment to be. I really am sorry to let you guys down. Mike

Don't feel bad for us Mike. I'm sure you feel 1000 times worse losing that buck than we do just not having a score on the board..yet!
A few years ago, I vowed never to bow hunt when more than a drizzle is forecasted. I've helped other guys trail too many deer, and too many lost deer due to rain-washed blood trails.
Listen for the crows and watch which way the yote's run by. You'll find him then.

Mike, sorry you didn't find him. Broadhead cuts that aren't lethal hits usually allow for the deer to survive (at least a much larger % than gun shot deer).
Several years ago Ilost a buck to the rain and swore if I ever hunted the rain again i would use a string tracker. W/ my last 2 bows it was on at 20 yards if I aimed with my 30yd pin.
I haven't even tried it with my latest bow but will since I am planning on hunting every hunt next week thatI can. If it be raining I'll be string tracking it.
Don't worry about the score, heck I might not be adding my #'s until December.

Hey guys, sorry I've disappeared, work has been going nuts. I killed a doe last weekend and my buddy killed a really nice deer. I didn't have any shooters in range but I'm headed out of here in 2 minutes. Hopefully I'll be back with some points. Then 2 weeks from yesterday I'll be in McAlester. They changed the rules this year, and you can kill two bucks as longs as the first one is over 115". I'm pretty excited. Anyway, good luck this weekend and I'll talk to you guys on Monday.
Mike, keep at it. From the description of how the deer reacted after your shot, it sounds like you may have hit a little bit further back than thought. If there is any water in the area you make take another trip around there. Anyway, good luck guys.

well I finally saw some deer tonight six in-fact a doe and her young-uns. the fawns came with in 20 yards but looked to barely be 45-50lbs so I passed them up ,,,then another doe came in but stayed out of range,,,30 minutes before dark two forky bucks came in and messed around for a while but they where a little small for me so they walk too..the big boy's are'nt coming out till after dark[:@]And man the wind was howling 25-35mph gust to 40 made for a fun time in the tree stand,I still feel a little woozzie.

Well missed a nice doe yesturday it was a good clean miss sucks but I'll take a good clean miss over a bad hit any day. Went out this morning saw nothing no even a squirrel so I guess they moved late last night and not this morning. Keep it up guys 2 weeks till the best part of the rut kicks in here.

Okie, yes I've got some "inside" information and it should hopfully be a good hunt. One of my buddy's hunted this past weekend and missed the "Ace of Spades". This guy doesn't BS and he's looked at that web page every day since July 20th, I completely believe him. The cool part is that he missed him in the area that we told him to go to after getting the "inside" info. Hopefully my spot is as productive.
I saw a nice 8 pt. and 10 does on Sunday night. I put a stalk on them and couldn't make it before darkness set it. I went to the same place tonight, figuring that the front blowing in might get them moving. Sure enough it did, but they were already in the field and there was no way to get on them. Maybe this weekend will prove successful.
