Figure I'll post pics of my food plot for you guys...one is from 3 weeks ago...the other is from last weekend.
We had it looking like a jungle and the sun scorched it...luckily it rained alot last weekend so it's picked back up a little.

Fromman, sweet plot, what did you plant?
Where is the water supply coming from?
DWD2001, we posted at the same time yesterday and since we now have the same avatarI didn't even catch it or read your post.
Sounds like you will have plenty of places to hunt this year- all with great potential.
Where at in East Texas & where at in West Texas are you hunting?
East Texas can produce nice bucksif they get some age to them.
West Texas all depends on what part of West Texas (the phrase covers anything west of San Antonio for the most part that's half of the state!)
My new west Texas lease isbetween Del Rio & Rocksprings (Carta valley)- 45 minute drive to either (no gas stations or any type of store any closer)
Okie, although the 120 would make me smile a 140-150 would probably make me drop my bow ! Good luck on which ever you ventilate.

Okie, I'd definitely love for you to score on the big boy, that would be sweetness.
Fro, it looks as if the food plot fro will turn out alright after all. Also where is the water that gonna go through that hose coming from? I like the looks of your setup.
Dave, the place that I hunt in East Texas is near Gilmer sort of by Paris. I've never seen an monsters out there but a couple 100" deer, lots of yotes though. On the Western front my really good friend has a place on the Brazos River near Graham, TX. It's one of the sweetest 640 acres I have ever seen. The property is a Peninsula that is bordered on 3 sides by the river. In the middle they have a couple hundred acres planted in crop fields. The fields are bordered by about 75-100 yards of Mesquite Flats, and that is bordered by 100+ yards of Tall tall trees to the river bottom. Let me see if I can find a few pictures, I'll try to post them.
I'm truly having trouble sleep at night. I'm going to the lake this weekend where my buddy has a bunch of land that is surrounded by Corp land. Some great deer, but I'm out for backstraps next weekend.
Here is a sunset from the upper part of the property
Here is the river this summer when the sandies were running

Sorry about the first pic. Here is a clearer one, and the second photo is of the same river about 3 weeks ago.
This is one of my friends, when we were hog hunting a few weeks ago.

The water supply is actually running through half inch pvc pipe off of the back of my house...we have about 350 feet of it running through our woods...lol.
We have winter wheat and oats planted...also some Imperial Sample pack stuff. Hopefully it'll pick back up and turn out good.

Dwd2001, that sure is some sweet looking/sounding land!
I bought my boat near Paris Tx and the land there looked deery as well. Looks like you have some great memories in the making this year.
Froman, a walk from back door to deer stand- every bow hunters dream.
I have some good deer (dareI say big bucks) that live ~200 yards behind my house (another street over & then woods) but the land is posted, so I drive across the state to hunt smaller deer.
Now let me see what I can do with that avatar.
