Waid, good call on reminding the team about last minute checklist. Here check these two websites out. The first one has a pretty extensive checklist, covers just about everything you would ever want to take with you on a hunt.

The second is a "Build Your Own" type checklist. This might be a better alternative for some. If you want to find more, I just did a real basic search on Google for "Bowhunters Checklist". I have another type ofchecklist printed off and ready to be used, but I think Iprefer the "Build Your Own" type checklist.

Hope this might help. I especially want to point out carrying two releases with you (if possible). You can never plan for things to happen. And us release aid guys would be out to lunch if something were to happen to our main release. I am going to carry a spare, just in case.

I just couldn't see the stand from the side of the creek I was on. Too much folige, I guess.

I got my last ladder stand set up this morning
Clothes are washed and air dried
Scentlok clothes washed and dried for 50 minutes on High heat
Broadheads are razor sharp
Enigma camo will be here Weds or Thurs(already washed for me thanks to Chuck)
Hunting Truck is full of gas(I drive a different truck during the week)
Backpack, packed
Tags in ziplock bag in my pack
Spotlight charged up(for bloodtrailing after dark)
Fresh batteries in the flashlight
Fresh batch of Homemade scent killer "breathing" in the sink, be ready in a couple hours.
Fresh boxes of baking soda in my clothes containers

Yep, I think I am ready!
I will get home next Sat night at about 9:30 PM
I will be on my way to hunt at about 4am Sunday morning

To all of you that will be hunting this weekend. Don't forget your cameras!

Rocky
I am sorry you didn't score on an Elk but it sounds like you had an awesome hunt!

Dave
Sounds like your up and running[8D]. Sounds good and hey!! Can you put up the recipe for the homemade scent killer you made?. A person never seems to have enough of it. Thanks a ton. Sounds like your off to the woods for a week Dave. I wish you and your partners the best my friend. Shoot straight and God Bless.
