Found on the saltwater lakes and ponds of northwest Canada during the year, these birds winter on the coasts of the US. They have barred gray backs, white sides, black chests, blue bills, yellow eyes and a black head that has a metallic green tint to it. Greaters can grow close to two feet in length and like to travel in large flocks.
