Default Grain Belt Beer

one of my buddies was drinkin' this the other night? I've never had it before, what does everyone think of it?

see I just might purchase a case of this later after finals week, just wondering if I should stray from Miller Lite........maybe try something new...

Grain Belt Premium - or Primos as wel like to call em - is a pretty decent beer. It tastes pretty decent and will do the job you want it to. Pretty cheap at the store or the bar. Everybody should try em at least once. Pick a few up and try em - if you like em, buy a whole case.

are they much different in taste than the average bud light, coors, keystone or miller lite? Also I take it there must be a "lesser beer" than the "premium" and that's probably somethin' I don't want huh?

how much do they cost a case?

go with the Premium....its a good beer..I really dont know how to compare it to other beers, but its pretty good. The taste is just a little different - I'm not sure how to describe it cause I'm no big "taste expert" so I guess I don;t know what to tell ya there

Grain Belt beer sucks! It reminds me of Buckhorn or Phiffer or the dreaded Black Label. Yall remember that stuff.....whew! But really being from SD Billy how could you never have heard of Grain belt it has been around for years. "From the land of sky blue waters, waters"remember that one.I miss the ol' dancingHammes Beer Bear! Them were the days!

I beleive it was made in St. Paul, MN and a year or so ago Shells Brewery (New Ulm, MN) bought them out. I compare it to Rolling Rock. It is a good beer, but it has to be premium and has to be drank out of a bottle, not a can.

It's decent beer. And Buck Knife is right. They were bought our a little while back. It's not really like Bud Light/Miller Lite, but that's ok. I'll drink light beers, but it's fun to try different beers for their flavor, where as it's hard to argue that Bud/Miller have anything special.

Premium has more of a sweeter flavor to it.
