Zouave Makeover
Never did like the blond color on the stock of my Zouave.
I just completed a little makeover - stripped the old finish and applied some MinWax English Chestnut stain and three very
thin coats of MinWax water based Polycrylic.
Here it is before the makeover.
And here's the "after" photo. I really like the new color.

That looks very nice. The stock on mine is beech wood. I think yours is too. You really shined up that brass while you were at it.
Mine is still a virgin. I'm too busy in the shop to shoot but I'm glad to have the work. I did find out that mine has a faster twist then I expected, it is 1 in 48. I hope it will still do a decent job with the roundballs.
