I'd personally like to see Ole Mongo book a hunt with TMO and arrive in camp to find out he's been sub'd out to Broke Back Ridge Outfitters, taken to hunt on public land and hunting in a crowd of other hunters, end up skunked. Maybe then he'd understand.
Never know though, he might enjoy his new "buddies" at Broke Back Ridge and book with them the following year.

You're right he doesn't get it and I guarantee if he ended up in Dave's shoes he would be singing a different tune.
To be fair though Mongo seems like an alright guy and the discussion seemed to turn a bit emotional rather than logical and I think Mongo felt called out and forced to defend his loyalty to TMO.
I know there are some with their "black helicopter" theories about Mongo being on the "inside" and here to clean up the mess Dave started but I think he's a genuine satisfied customer.
You have to look at this from a birds eye view. If they didn't have some satisfied customers they wouldn't be in business so it's not surprising to see someone defend them. But I think through Dave's experience we've also learned that if you have an issue with TMO they will slam the door in your face, even if you have a ligitimate issue. We've also learned that they will push you off to another outfitter without notice so they can still cash your check. I'm sure TMO is smart enough to take care of their regulars and those with deep pockets, what business doesn't? I'm sure they kill great animals on many of their hunts. But Dave's experience can't be shrugged off either and starts to paint the bigger picture and just goes to show the mighty dollar is most important even in industries that seemed like they would always be run by Mom and Pop where you thought you could always expect to get a fair shake. Remember when your word and a handshake was your contract?
There is more to this that we just don't know. There is some reason that TMO pushed Dave off without telling him in advance and I get the feeling it was probably a last minute decision on TMO's part either because a high profile client suddenly appeared or someone suddenly needed time off, something happened there and TMO doesn't want to own up to it.
