GUNZILLA In Lansing, Michigan, a brand new company, Topduck Products, has emerged. The company was recently started by Don Kettles. Topduck is producing a product called Gunzilla, which is a gun cleaning agent unlike any other on the market. It is completely environmentally friendly.

It started when a friend of Kettles returned from the war in Iraq with sores all over his hands. Kettles was surprised to find out that the gun cleaning agent the soldier was using was so corrosive that it ate away at his skin and caused all kinds of health problems. “The soldier told me that many of the soldiers over there were experiencing health problems from the cleaning oil they were using on their guns. Some of the soldiers even resorted to cleaning their guns with soap and water in the shower. The oils caused health problems for the soldiers and their guns were always jamming,” Kettles stated. After hearing the story, Kettles, a retired business owner, decided to research and develop a new product that would clean guns. The product would be environmentally friendly and function better so soldiers wouldn’t have to worry about their guns jamming in combat. “Having your gun jam when you are in the line of fire is a big problem. In Iraq, soldiers’ lives depend on their guns. I wanted to develop a product that they could depend on,” Kettles explained. The result was Gunzilla.

Gunzilla is a gun cleaning agent that works great and is made completely from plants. Gunzilla is the perfect gun cleaner, free of water and corrosive materials. “Because it is made entirely of plants, it doesn’t cause skin problems and we have discovered many law enforcement agencies love using it because it is plant based and they don’t have to worry about the hazardous material aspect of it like they do with other cleaners,” Kettles said. This also means that Gunzilla can be stowed away in your luggage if you travel and it won’t be taken away from you unlike other corrosive cleaners.

Since the product is plant-based, Kettles has even seen deer come into his backyard when he was testing the product and lick it out of the bottle. I guess that proves its’ authenticity. Most of us, at one point or another, experienced problems with an auto loading gun jamming, but when tested at a recent Ducks Unlimited Banquet, everyone who used Gunzilla was extremely impressed with how the guns performed.

Kettles sent numerous bottles to various branches of the military to distribute to soldiers in combat. “I gave away hundreds of bottles to kids in the military to try and I received many emails saying how much they like the product and what a difference it made on their skin and on their guns. It makes me feel good that I have been able to make a difference in the lives of so many soldiers,” Kettles said.

Although Kettles started the company with hopes of helping the military, the product works great for outdoorsman too. If you have an autoloading shotgun, pistol, or rifle, Gunzilla will clean it without all the side effects and problems other cleaners create. I have learned over the years that autoloaders are hard to keep clean and are fussy. If they aren’t kept clean, they jam. Gunzilla is one oil that can help cure the problem.
